Disk & Cable Speed does not collect, store or share any personal data. Last updated 17 October 2026.

The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Speed tests write a temporary file on the drive you choose, read it back, and delete it. The file contains random bytes, not your data.
Your test history (cable names and speeds) is saved only on your Mac, inside the app's own container. It is never sent anywhere. You can clear it in the app at any time.
Permission to use an external drive is remembered on your Mac so you are not asked again. You can remove it by deleting the app.
The app makes no network connections.
